First step! - The Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Alliance India is formed by a consortium of six Indian NGOs with complementary expertise and a shared goal. The Alliance was founded in 2011 with the support of Dutch NGO Alliance comprising of CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality, dance4life, Simavi and Rutgers under ‘Unite for Body Rights’ Programme. The SRHR Alliance India founder members comprises of Bihar Voluntary Health Association (Secretariat) - BVHA, Child in Need Institute - CINI, Network for Enterprise Enhancement and Development Support - NEEDS, Restless Development, SEWA Bharat and Voluntary Health Association of India - VHAI

2020... Six Governing Body Members and 164 Member organisations spread across 3 Indian states reaching 26 Million people. Still spreading its wings across India and have 200 Youth leaders in key positions to promote YSHR!

What We Do

SRHR Alliance is an initiative that works towards a society free of poverty in which all women and men, girls and boys, and marginalized groups have the same rights irrespective of their ethnic, cultural and religious background, age and gender.
